The Surprisingly Aligned Philosophies of Nikola Tesla and Baruch Spinoza
Nikola Tesla , the visionary inventor behind alternating current (AC) electricity, and Baruch Spinoza , the 17th-century Dutch philosopher, may seem like an unlikely pair. But despite living centuries apart and in entirely different fields, their views on the universe and humanity's place within it share some surprising parallels. Determinism and a Materialistic Universe: Both Tesla and Spinoza believed in a deterministic universe governed by fixed laws. Tesla saw the universe as a giant machine, with humans as complex machines responding to external stimuli.
